Town of Lakewood Village Texas The Town of Lakewood Village Texas was incorporated on April 26, 1977 as a municipality with an aldermanic form of government. The elected mayor and 5 aldermen are unpaid residents of Lakewood Village. It's a government run by the people, for the people. The first homes built, per the DCAD Denton County Central Appraisal District map of Lakewood Village, specifically P84 and P94, were in the 1960's and 1970's, predating the Lakewood Village incorporation as a town. These original homes were in the area near the current Lakewood Village Town Hall on Lakecrest Drive, Hillside Drive and Peninsula Drive. New home construction expanded in that area of Lakewood Village through the 1980s to present. The Shores of Lakewood Village homes are generally larger newer 2+ story homes built in the 1990's to present. Major streets in The Shores of Lakewood Village TX 75068 include Melody Lane, Stowe Lane and Carrie Lane.
