McKinney Boyd High School is the McKinney Independent School District's third high school. Located on Lake Forest Blvd. just north of Virginia Parkway, the school opened in August of 2006 with students in grades 9, 10 and 11. Boyd High School is scheduled to be completed in two phases. Phase I, completed in August 2006, was built to accommodate 1,500 students. Phase II, scheduled to be completed in 2008, will expand the school to accommodate up to 3,000 students.
